A individually handmade pair — no two pieces are ever exactly alike drawn in rafia. Two twin glyphs — a charcoal labyrinth above and a terracotta hexagonal serpent below — are hand-appliquéd stitch by stitch across écru rafia grounds. The two cushions are siblings, not copies: each line carries the small variations of a human hand. Designed by Meriem Chrrouhi. Sold as a set of two.
Provenance
Each TIGEMI piece is designed by Meriem Chrrouhi in Marrakech — drawn by hand before it ever meets a needle — and then crafted with a women’s cooperative using traditional hand-appliqué techniques. The matched pair format is rare: it requires both cushions to be made in the same session to preserve visual coherence.
Inspired by Kuba cloth tradition and reimagined through a Moroccan lens — the pair is built to live on a sofa, a daybed, or a reading chair, anywhere two strong shapes can speak to each other.

Styling Notes
Made to be placed together. The écru, terracotta, and charcoal palette pairs naturally with raw wood, warm whites, olive, and earthy textiles. Display them side by side on a sofa or layered on a daybed — they are designed to coexist and create a conversation.
Care & Longevity
Spot clean only with a slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge in water. Rafia is a natural fiber that can lose rigidity if over-wetted. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve color depth.
