A graphic maze of hand-appliquéd rafia in charcoal-black, natural écru, and rich terracotta — laid down shape by shape across a woven rafia ground. Designed by Meriem Chrrouhi, founder of Tigemi, the pattern unfurls like a labyrinth of memory: linear, rhythmic, almost coded. Look closely and the stitches reveal themselves — uneven, alive, unmistakably made by hand.
Provenance
Each TIGEMI piece is designed by Meriem Chrrouhi in Marrakech — drawn on paper before it ever meets a needle — and then crafted by a women’s cooperative using traditional hand-appliqué techniques.
Rafia is a natural plant fiber with a rough, sculptural quality that catches light differently depending on how it is cut and layered. The labyrinth composition evokes the visual language of Kuba cloth filtered through a contemporary Moroccan sensibility.

Styling Notes
The graphic, almost architectural quality of the labyrinth pattern makes this piece at home in contemporary, gallery-inspired, or eclectic interiors. Pairs beautifully with white walls, raw wood, and minimal furniture. Strong enough to stand alone as a single statement piece.
Care & Longevity
Spot clean only with a slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge in water. Rafia is a natural fiber that can lose rigidity if over-wetted. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve color depth.
